Digital Photography with the Canon Powershot Pro70 |

 The
images on this page were created on the Canon Powershot Pro70,
a Christmas gift from my family. So far, I've been pretty happy
with the images, and the camera is a joy to use, if a bit slow.

A quick
note about the Images:
The images are generally in pairs, side by side.. On the left
side are original unmodified images imported straight from the
camera using the Canon TWAIN interface in ACDSee. On the right
side are images that I modified in Photoshop, correcting colors,
resizing, cropping, etc. I've tried to provide notes on what
changes were made..
There are two resolutions available for each image. The smaller
image was resampled in PhotoShop using bicubic interpolation.

Modified: Levels, perspective correction. This is one of those shots
that makes me love and hate digital. If I hadn't taken it with a
digital, I wouldn't have bothered to straighten and enhance it.
But if I'd taken it at 35mm, I could have had it drum-scanned and
gotten a very nice photographic-quality print. We're almost there... |
